The Cheapest High Quality Eyeglasses

As we grow older, the sharpness of our vision deteriorates. One reason is because of unhealthy habits when we were younger - reading with dim light, prolonged use of the computer without rest, reading for a long time and the list goes on and on.

A human's eye is the window of his soul. It is very important that we take good care of our eyes so it will become healthy, also, for us to be able to slow down its aging process. As one gets older, having a blurred vision cannot be avoided. However, with proper care, we will enjoy longer the benefits of having healthy eyes.

When I was 16 years old, I was diagnosed with astigmatism. That time I had to wear my first eyeglasses. What is astigmatism? Wikipedia defines astigmatism as an optical defect, whereby vision is blurred due to irregular curvature of the cornea or lens. When light strikes the retina at multiple points, the result is blurred vision. I had to wear eyeglasses since then and I got my first glasses for $40. That was 15 years ago. I was surprised to find an online store that offers high quality glasses for only $8. Imagine how much I could have saved if only I have known about this site then?

$8 Zenni Optical Rx Eyeglasses sell stylish prescription glasses online. They have a huge selection of frames, with single vision lens, sunsensor (potochromic)lens, tinted sunglasses lens, bifocal lens and progressive lens. They can give their glasses at cheaper rates as they sell only their own manufactured frames direct to the customer. Take note, it's direct and with no middlemen and virtually no advertising budget. No wonder it's way cheaper than other glasses online or offline.

Once we feel discomfort in our eyes, it is best to have it checked by a professional doctor as soon as possible. Taking the symptoms for granted might led to a more serious and unrepairable problem later. Buying protection for our eyes need not be expensive. If only we are resourceful enough to find the best quality eyeglasses at reasonable prices. You don't need to go so far. Zenni Optical offers the best eyeglasses starting at only $8. And it doesn't stop there, above it all, they also offer shipping at the least price for only $4.95. Now, isn't it making your money's worth ?

Blogging has become a popular online activity. Many of us blog in social networking sites like Friendster, Myspace and a lot more. Since we do it almost on a daily basis, why don't we try to earn money from it?

Blogging online is getting more and more popular than we can imagine. Everyday, thousands of blogs are being developed. Some people blog as a hobby, others blog to introduce a product or a service online while the rest blog to get more traffic to their sites. Others simply express their innermost feelings and thoughts. Majority of the blogs' purpose is to earn money. Though to earn enough, we have to work harder and post regularly.

Earning money online through blogging doesn't happen overnight. It needs extra effort on your side. FinalSense Templates for Blogger

Sometimes we want to change the look of our blog. The existing blogger templates are wonderful, however, I want to try a 3-column template. I couldn't find it from their listing so I searched on google and found a great site with very artistic and colorful templates. This site, FinalSense allows us to use their templates for free. Of course, a link back to their site is expected. The templates are intended mainly for blogger so it is compatible with the new blogger edit template button. I tried it but it doesn't work though with the beta blogger edit html format. Above are some samples of their templates. If you want to change the look of your blog, you have a great number with different to choose from.

I Got My First Assignment from Review Me

Well, I guess this message is not really that important by I'm just so happy to tell everyone that finally, I got an assignment from Review Me. The site is strict with ranking and traffic factors that's why I am trying so hard to make this blog popular. I was surprised to see an email this morning informing me of the assignment. I accepted it and will try to finish it before my due date. With this site's traffic increasing daily, I hope I could get more assignments in the following weeks. Wish me luck!

Tips To Lighten Your Skin and Fade Out Blemishes

Majority of dark or darker women want to be lighter. While lighter women want to be tanned. It's funny how we want to change our natural color thinking that we would look more beautiful if we do so. However, it is important to note that beauty comes from within. We can't blame people who think like this as a lot of people judge an individual by his/her color. It is depressing at times. A lot of people from Asian countries as well as these individuals believe that you are more appealing and beautiful if you are lighter. It is not right all the time, however, a lot of people strive hard to achieve it.

There are some home remedies that would help us lighten our skin. It would just take for a few minutes if you apply it to yourself daily, then a significant improvement in your skin color will be seen in a week or two. Below are some home remedy tips to lighten your skin.

Try squeezing a slice of lemon to your yoghurt (natural is better, fruit flavored would be too sweet), about ¼ of the regular yoghurt sold in the supermarket. Mix the two well then apply the mixture to your skin.

Paypal Bank Codes In The Philippines

I agree with James of pinoymoneytalk that most banks in the Philippines don't have an idea yet what their bank codes are for PayPal. I called Union Bank last week and asked them what their bank code is for paypal. After being transferred 3 times, the one who said he was the in-charge of internet transactions asked for my number and told me he will call me back. Until now, no word from him yet.
Yesterday, I went to Equitable PCI Bank and asked them if they know about paypal and what their bank code is. I was given a swift code instead and I told the agent that maybe its not the one as the swift code was only 8-digits but bank code is 9-digits. I was told it was the only one they have. They didn't even know yet about paypal and how the online transaction goes.

I searched through google about paypal bank codes and I stumbled upon a post at one of my favorite blogs online, pinoymoneytalk, about Paypal Philippine Bank Codes. I made a list below and if you want to visit the original site where the list came from, you can visit it here.

Got Pissed With A Western Union Agent

I am writing this post not to discredit Western Union but simply expressing my disappointment to one of their agents from a branch near Pasig. I usually send money through Western Union once or twice a week and every transaction is successful and hassle free. I've been using it for more than a year now and this is the first time I had a problem. I was supposed to deposit money for my brother in Pasig but when I reached the bank, it was closed already. He needed the money the following day so I told him I'll send P1K through Western Union then the others through his bank account the following day as sending everything will cost us much in the service charge. He agreed so I went to Western Union then sent the money. When he was about to withdraw, he wasn't allowed as he presented his company ID and atm. He was asked to present another ID. He just had the two as that was his first time of receiving it through Western Union (I usually send money through the service to other people). What I did was I called the agent and told her I myself will give her the tracking number to prove I'm the one sending it and its really for my brother. She still did not allow my brother to claim it. Instead told me to change the name of the receiver to someone else who was in the branch and its her who will claim it and will give the money to my brother. I found this funny (but actually it really pissed me!) that she trusted that woman to receive the money instead of me telling her that my brother is really the recipient... and just the same, the woman will give the money to my brother. Is it really like this? Is Western Union this strict at times ? I had a scheduled tutoring session supposedly after that but I got late for 30minutes as I still had to go back to Western Union and change the recipient of the money. Sometimes unflexible rules really pisses us up. I just hope they will be flexible at times. To think it was just P1K and they gave my brother a hard time. How much more if I sent a bigger amount? tsk...tsk...

What is a humanoid robot?

In my post yesterday, I posted about ASIMO, a humanoid robot. This post explains what is a humanoid robot.
A humanoid robot is a robot with its overall appearance based on that of the human body. In general, humanoid robots have a torso with a head, two arms and two legs, although some forms of humanoid robots may model only part of the body, for example, from the waist up. Some humanoid robots may also have a 'face', with 'eyes' and 'mouth'.

A humanoid robot is an autonomous robot because it can adapt to changes in its environment or itself and continue to reach its goal. Some of the capacities of a humanoid robot include:

* self maintenance (recharge itself)
* autonomous learning (learn or gain new capabilities without outside assistance, adjust strategies based on the
surroundings and adapt to new situations)
* avoiding harmful situations to people, property and itself
* safe interacting with human beings and the environment

Humanoid robots are created to imitate some of the same physical and mental tasks that humans undergo daily. Their creator's goal is that one day, it will be able to both understand human intelligence, reason and act like humans. If humanoids are able to do so, they could eventually work alongside humans. Humanoid robots are also used as a research tool in several scientific areas. The attempt to simulate the human body leads to a better understanding of it.

Humanoid robots are also being developed to perform human tasks like personal assistance, where they should be able to assist the sick and elderly, and dirty or dangerous jobs. Regular jobs like being a receptionist or a worker of an automotive manufacturing line are also suitable for humanoids.

They are becoming increasingly popular for providing entertainment too. One example is Ursula, a female robot, sings, dances, and speaks to her audiences at Universal Studios. Although humanoid robots have a realistic look, they have no cognition or physical autonomy.

ASIMO - "Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility"

ASIMO (ashimo) is a humanoid robot created by Honda Motor Company. It was created at Honda's Research & development Wako Fundamental Research Center in Japan. It is the current model in a line of eleven that began in 1986. ASIMO means "Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility". In Japanese, the name is pronounced ashimo.

* It stands 130 centimeters (4 feet 3 inches) and weighing 54 kilograms (119 pounds).

* The robot resembles a small astronaut wearing a backpack and can walk or run on two feet at speeds up to 6km/h

* As of 2007, there are 46 ASIMO units in existence. Each one costs less than $1 million to manufacture. Some units are available to be hired out for $155,000 per year.

ASIMO Commercial

Honda added the following features to enable ASIMO to interact better with humans:

1. Recognition of moving objects
Using the visual information captured by the camera mounted in its head, ASIMO can detect the movements of multiple objects, assessing distance and direction. Common applications of this feature would include: the ability to follow the movements of people with its camera, to follow a person, or greet a person when he or she approaches.

2. Recognition of postures and gestures
ASIMO can also interpret the positioning and movement of a hand, recognizing postures and gestures. Because of this ASIMO can react to and be directed by not only voice commands, but also to the natural movements of human beings. This enables it to, for example, recognize when a handshake is offered or when a person waves and responds accordingly. It can also recognize movement directions such as pointing.

3. Environment Recognition
ASIMO can recognize the objects and terrain of its environment and act in a way that is safe for both itself and nearby humans. For example, recognizing potential hazards such as stairs, and by stopping and starting to avoid hitting humans or other moving objects.

4. Distinguishing Sounds
ASIMO's ability to identify the source of sounds has been improved, and it can distinguish between voices and other sounds. It can respond to its name, face people when being spoken to, and recognize sudden, unusual sounds such as that of a falling object or a collision, and face in that direction. It is also able to respond to questions, either by a brief nod, a shake of the head or a verbal answer.

5. Facial Recognition
ASIMO has the ability to recognize faces, even when ASIMO or the human being is moving. It can individually recognize approximately 10 different faces. Once they are registered it can address them by name.

Network Integration

In utilizing networks like the internet, ASIMO can provide information and function better for various commercial applications, like reception to name a few. Its abilities fall under 2 categories :

1. Integration with user's network system
ASIMO can offer many useful functions such as greeting visitors and informing personnel of the visitor's arival by transmitting messages and pictures of the visitor's face and guide visitors to predetermined location.

2. Internet connectivity
By accessing information via the internet, ASIMO can, for example, become a provider of news and weather updates.

We live in a world where technology is becoming very advanced. Everyday, the products of technology are being used in our homes, offices, restaurants, malls ... everywhere. As information technology grows, our knowledge about new inventions/discoveries must grow also. It is necessary that we keep ourselves well-informed of important facts about these things so we won't be left out in the dark. These new inventions and technology were designed to help our daily tasks and to help us in a lot of ways, so we should also do our part. Keep ourselves updated and try to apply what we know in our daily lives.
